IMT cultist claims that reading things you disagree with is ‘post-modernism’

Fehr Mahrouf, professional idiot and one of the IMT’s main attack dogs on social media, recently tweeted what might win the award for most moronic statement ever made by an IMT member. He has lambasted the idea that reading things you disagree with is good for one’s intellectual development, denouncing it as a ‘post-modernist’ idea. What opening yourself up to different perspectives or trying to understand different points of view has to do with ‘post-modernism’ is unclear.

Mahrouf may have chosen to spare himself the arduous task of reading Mein Kampf – fair play to him, so have many of us – but the idea that there is no value in reading it, and thereby getting a better understanding of Nazi ideology, is absurd, particularly for people who regard themselves as anti-fascists. It certainly goes a long way towards explaining the anti-intellectual nature of the sect, which demands that its members spend all their time reading approved publications and shun any texts that do not rigidly conform to the cult’s interpretation of Marxism. This is one more reason why you should avoid this wretched groupuscule at all costs.
