Third anniversary of my escape from the IMT cult

This month marks three years since I left the IMT cult. Good riddance to all that rubbish! So much time was wasted on people who did me nothing but harm. But now, I have emerged from the darkness into the light, with Mahler and Beethoven and Nietzsche and Schubert and Dostoevsky and Tolstoy and many others to show me the way. Art has been my salvation from evil. The cleansing power of music and literature has delivered me from the filth of cultism. I am far more optimistic about life than I was as a brainwashed IMT member. As the alto in the fourth movement of Mahler’s Third Symphony sings:

O man! Attend!
What does deep midnight’s voice contend?
‘I slept my sleep,
‘And now awake at dreaming’s end:
The world is deep,
‘And deeper than day can comprehend.’
Deep is its woe,
‘Joy—deeper than heart’s agony:
‘Woe says: Fade! Go!’
But all joy wants eternity,
‘Wants deep, deep, deep eternity!’

It has been onwards and upwards since that dark time when I was an unthinking drone of ‘the Organisation’. I have shaken off the mind-forged manacles of cultism and I can move on with my life. A shame that the organisation’s current members do not have the courage to do the same. I invite all those doubting members to reconsider their loyalty to a miserable sect that does not care for their personal well-being and simply seeks to use and exploit them for all they are worth. You deserve better than to be trapped in this abusive situation.

I cannot believe it has been three years already. Three years since I made my great leap for freedom. I am grateful to all those who have helped me on my journey, including Dennis Tourish, Louis Proyect, Janja Lalich, and so many others. Never again will I return to such horror!
